Traveling from Hawaiian papaya groves to banana farms in Uganda to the cornfields of Iowa, the film, narrated by Neil deGrasse Tyson, wrestles with the emotions and the science driving one of the most heated arguments of our time. In the GMO debate, both pro- and anti- camps claim science is on their side. Who\u2019s right?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/FoodEvoFilm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Watch the\u00a0<em>Food Evolution<\/em>\u00a0trailer<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The film will be followed by a panel discussion with\u00a0Dr. Anastasia\u00a0Bodnar, Dr. Fred Gould, and Dr. Michelle Schroeder-Moreno<\/p>\n<p>Bodnar is a science communicator who serves as the policy director of Biology Fortified, Inc, a non-profit organization that fosters conversation about issues in food and agriculture.<\/p>\n<p>Gould is a distinguished university professor of entomology and is co-director of the Genetic Engineering and Society Center here at NC&#160;State.<\/p>\n<p>Schroeder-Moreno is an Associate Professor of Agroecology in the Department of Crop &amp; Soil Sciences here at NC&#160;State.<\/p>\n<p>This event is funded via Meredith College Kenan funds, and sponsored by the Biology Honors Society and Angels for the Environment.
