Crop and Soil Sciences\u2019 Chris Reberg-Horton-Horton and Paula Ramos Giraldo’s\u00a0“BenchBot\u201d<\/a>\u00a0image classification team won 3rd place in the North America region of the\u00a0OpenCV AI Competition 2021<\/a>\u00a0last week. It was the world\u2019s largest spacial AI competition to date.<\/p>\n

Our competition team included Wolfpack from Crop and Soil Sciences and Electrical Engineering as well as collaborators from other institutions in the U.S. and Denmark. The team faced over 1,400 competitors from 100 countries. Less than 20% of teams were selected for the second round.<\/p>\n

The team is now competing for the most popular OpenCV project.
