In 2021, NC&#160;State <a href=\"https:\/\/provost.ncsu.edu\/faculty-resources\/awards-and-honors\/celebrating-faculty-excellence\/\">honored 29 faculty virtually<\/a> since the annual event could not be held in person.<\/p>\n<p>The CALS honorees:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/provost.ncsu.edu\/faculty-resources\/awards-and-honors\/celebrating-faculty-excellence\/faculty-excellence-biographies\/#sylvia-blankenship\">Sylvia Blankenship<\/a>, professor emerita, Department of Horticultural Science, and senior associate dean emerita, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences: National Inventors Hall of Fame<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/provost.ncsu.edu\/faculty-resources\/awards-and-honors\/celebrating-faculty-excellence\/faculty-excellence-biographies\/#ruben-carbonell\">Ruben Carbonell<\/a>, Frank Hawkins Kenan Professor, Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering: American Association for the Advancement of Science Fellow<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/provost.ncsu.edu\/faculty-resources\/awards-and-honors\/celebrating-faculty-excellence\/faculty-excellence-biographies\/#thomas-ranney\">Thomas Ranney<\/a>, JC Raulston Distinguished Professor, Department of Horticultural Science: National Academy of Inventors Fellow<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/provost.ncsu.edu\/faculty-resources\/awards-and-honors\/celebrating-faculty-excellence\/faculty-excellence-biographies\/#jean-ristaino\">Jean Ristaino<\/a>, William Neal Reynolds Distinguished Professor, Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology: American Association for the Advancement of Science Fellow<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2021 marks the tenth year of the Celebration of Faculty Excellence.
