Sixteen students <a href=\"https:\/\/cals.ncsu.edu\/news\/2024-cals-awards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">were also honored<\/a> for their outstanding scholarship, leadership and service.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"\">\u201cEvery awardee has been supported and mentored and has collaborated with people who made these awards possible,\u201d Dean Garey Fox said in his opening remarks, noting that the evening celebrated both the student award winners and their supporters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cals.ncsu.edu\/intranet\/news\/cals-faculty-honored-with-university-teaching-awards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>RELATED: CALS Faculty Honored with University Teaching Awards<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"\">The awards ceremony supports a culture of recognition and appreciation, Fox said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"\">\u201cWe need to create a culture where everyone\u2019s contributions are valued and celebrated,\u201d Dean Fox says. \u201cIf we can accomplish this, then we can truly disrupt for good \u2013 my challenge to the
