{"id":118072,"date":"2023-04-01T13:06:58","date_gmt":"2023-04-01T17:06:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cals.ncsu.edu\/intranet\/?p=118072"},"modified":"2023-04-11T11:52:15","modified_gmt":"2023-04-11T15:52:15","slug":"cals-awards-for-excellence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cals.ncsu.edu\/intranet\/news\/cals-awards-for-excellence\/","title":{"rendered":"CALS Awards for Excellence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are pleased to announce the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences&#8217; &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/hr.ncsu.edu\/extraordinary-pack\/awards-for-excellence\/\">Awards for Excellence<\/a>&#8221; recipients for the calendar year 2022-23.<\/p>\n<p>They are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lisa Li, Entomology and Plant Pathology<\/li>\n<li>Kionna Coleman, CALS Communication Services<\/li>\n<li>Catherine Freeman, Plant and Microbial Biology<\/li>\n<li>Karen Blaedow, Western District &#8211; Henderson<\/li>\n<li>Amy McKenzie, North Central District &#8211; Stokes<\/li>\n<li>Amanda Hatcher, Southeast District &#8211; Duplin<\/li>\n<li>Irene Palmer, Horticultural Science\/Mountain Horticultural Crops<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A plated luncheon honoring these recipients will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 11:30 a.m. &#8211; 1 p.m. at the University Club, 4200 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh, North Carolina.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone who would like to attend the luncheon to support these recipients may do so for $10. <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/KPUshoS9p8FC9d2X9\">RSVP by submitting the form<\/a> by Monday, April 10.<\/p>\n<p>Checks should be made payable to NC&#160;State University and mailed to Claudia Mello, Box 7601, NC&#160;State University, Raleigh, NC 27695.<\/p>\n<p>Our college winners for the 2023 CALS Awards for Excellence will also be honored during the University Awards Reception scheduled on Wednesday, June 14, 2-4 p.m., in the James B. Hunt Jr. Library \u00adAuditorium.
