Dr. Wayne Yuan was awarded the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation’s “Research Fellowship for Experienced Researchers.” The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation promotes international academic cooperation between excellent scientists and scholars from Germany and from abroad.

Fellowships and awards from the foundation are considered to be among the most prestigious and generous awards in Germany. In providing Humboldt Research Fellowships for experienced researchers, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation enables highly qualified scientists and scholars from abroad, who completed their doctorates less than 12 years ago to spend extended periods of research (6-18 months; may be divided up into a maximum of three blocks) in Germany.

Under the support of this competitive fellowship, Yuan will conduct collaborative research about biochemical synthesis at Hamburg University of Technology in Germany in the next few years.
