Today’s the Day! University Awards for Excellence

Today, June 11 from 2-4 p.m. at the Hunt Library, we are celebrating the CALS Award for Excellence winners along with winners from the other colleges and units.

2019 CALS winners are:
  • Neil Bain – Biological and Agricultural Engineering
  • Geri Bushel – Agricultural and Human Sciences
  • Albert ‘Buddy’ Daniels – Horticultural Crops Research Station – Castle Hayne
  • Annie Freeman – South Central District – Richmond County
  • John Garner – NCARS – Duplin County
  • Eve Honeycutt – Southeast District – Lenoir County
  • Enass Wahby – CALS Business Office
The ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. in the Hunt Library Auditorium, and the reception will follow in the Duke Energy Ballroom.
No need to RSVP, but we encourage you to come congratulate our winners and see if any of our finalists move on for consideration in the Governor’s Awards for Excellence.
The twelve possible recipients of the NC State University Awards for Excellence receive an additional eight hours of paid time off, a cash-award for $1,000, and an engraved award plaque. The NC State University Awards for Excellence recipients are also submitted for consideration for the Governor’s Awards for Excellence, which is the highest honor awarded to a State of North Carolina employee.
