NC Farmers, Agribusinesses, Commodities, Universities and Ag students alike are all invited to celebrate the state’s #1 industry. Together we can educate NC Legislators and lawmakers of the importance of NC Agriculture and how we can grow stronger together.

Agriculture has provided a wide array of benefits to the state, but most importantly, this $87 billion industry has contributed 17% of NC’s $522 billion gross state product and 730,000 jobs as well as 17% of NC’s workforce.

By meeting, participants can convey appreciation to NC Legislators for prior support, and emphasize the importance of sensible and fact-based legislation when supporting North Carolina’s #1 industry, Agriculture and Agribusiness. The goal is:

  • Preserving Farmland and Farm Families
  • Protecting our Natural Resources
  • Education and Outreach
  • Research and Technology Advancements
  • Feeding the World for Generations to Come

The event will occur on March 20th at the Bicentennial Mall and Legislative Complex in downtown Raleigh. Participants will meet at the NC State Fairgrounds and will take a free bus to the event.
