John Flye, who has worked for the CALS Advancement events team for two years, is transitioning to a new role as assistant director of Leadership Annual Giving for the university’s Annual Giving Team.

Flye joined the Wolfpack in 2019 when he was hired as a development assistant for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. John helped plan and execute the CALS Alumni and Friends Weekend (one of the largest annual events at the college), he represented CALS at trade shows and conventions engaged prospective students and worked closely on maintaining alumni records as a liaison with the Gifts & Records Management Office.

Prior to NC State, John cut his sales teeth as an account manager at Bisco Industries in Raleigh and before that, as a Cadet Caller at Virginia Military Institute where he graduated in 2018 with a B.A. in Economics.

As assistant director of Leadership Annual Giving, John will be embedded within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
