Event Navigation
The CALS Leadership Office offers the Individual to Leadership (i2L) Program for non-faculty supervisors and managers with the goals of providing:
• Self-assessments to build self-awareness which will lead participants to a better understanding not only of their individual self but also of others;
• Training sessions that focus on leadership styles, leadership tools, communication, team building and effective engagement of employees; and
• Interactive workshops that require both in-session and between session work to build, hone and strengthen leadership skills so that participants become successful leaders within their respective units, the College and the University.
The main focus is to take the participants from an awareness of who they are as individuals to an understanding of what it means to be a leader of a team, a staff, an office, a unit, a department or a larger organization. Different skills are required of leaders, and knowing how to use these skills so that one successfully leads their followers is the aim of i2L. Participants will be required to attend all six (6) sessions to receive a certificate of completion. One session may be missed and made up one-on-one with Dr. Rhonda Sutton, the facilitator for the program.
