This 14-day program will focus on agricultural business, production agriculture, agricultural policy and agri-food products in New Zealand. New Zealand is one of two countries that eliminated agricultural subsidies. We will explore how producers have evolved and thrived in their new system that has become a revolution in agriculture. Along our path through the north and south island, we will visit farms producing kiwifruit, dairy, sheep, berries, fisheries, and lavender, among others. We will also learn about the culture and visit sites of natural resource interest.
