Did you know that by 2050, we’ll need to produce 70% more food to feed an estimated world population of 10 billion? As it currently stands, our agricultural system cannot sustainably feed that many people, most of whom will be living in urban areas. To feed the future, farming needs to aim higher. Bowery Farming is a modern indoor farming start-up company with headquarters in NY. Bowery sells currently 13 leafy greens in more than 850 locations, and is backed up by an impressive list of Investors, including Alphabet (formerly Google). Horticulture crops such as strawberries are on the top of Boweries list for the future. Please join us for a small presentation and a Q+A for faculty and graduate students.
