Mason Pharr Seminar is held by the HSGSA every Spring. The 2020 Mason Pharr seminar was postponed last year due to the pandemic situation. This year, we invited back Dr. Anna Katharine Mansfield, an Associate Professor of Enology at Cornell, for a virtual seminar of our favorite drink: wine!

The 2021 Mason Pharr Seminar:
“Body Building: Tannin and Structure in Hybrid Red Wines”
by Dr. Anna Katharine Mansfield
Associate Professor of Enology, Cornell AgriTech
Dr. Mansfield is an Associate Professor in the Department of Food Science at Cornell. She began her career in the wine industry in North Carolina’s Yadkin Valley. Currently, she focuses her efforts on aiding small regional wineries through enology extension, wine sensory evaluation, and research on hybrid wine phenolics and fermentation nutrition. She will talk about hybrid red wine grape production and quality. See attachment for further details!
