SUMMARY:Responsible Gardening in a Changing Climate
DESCRIPTION:For generations\, gardeners have relied on familiar rhythms and dependable rules of thumb. But as temperatures shift\, weather patterns become less predictable and pests and plant stress change\, many gardeners are finding themselves unsure of which practices still work and what needs to change. Bryce Lane\, former host of the public television show In the Garden With Bryce Lane\, will lead a course that focuses on practical strategies for gardening responsibly and resiliently in the face of a changing climate. Participants will explore how climate change is affecting home landscapes and gardens\, including rising temperatures\, shifting hardiness zones\, changing rainfall patterns\, longer growing seasons and increasing pest pressures. The class will meet once a week for six weeks. Registration is required. You can attend the class in person or virtually. Please complete the registration form for the modality that you prefer: in person or virtual.
