In celebration of the publication of the young reader’s edition of Cat Warren’s What the Dog Knows, we’re going to gather to discuss the special joys and challenges of communicating science to younger audiences. Join two authors who have gone through the process, one aspiring writer, and a scholar of English language arts education for a panel discussion and book signing.

Panelists:

Cat Warren, Department of English, author of What the Dog Knows
Eleanor Spicer Rice, author of Dr. Eleanor’s Book of Common Ants
Caren Cooper, Department of Forestry & Environmental Resources, author of Citizen Science
Crystal Chen Lee, Department of Teacher Education & Learning Sciences

Feel free to bring a brownbag; we’ll provide dessert
