Plant Health: Using Technology to Monitor, Analyze and Treat

September’s event will be VIRTUAL due to the current COVID-19 restrictions. The Ag Tech Professional Forum 2020 series theme is around plant health in recognition of the United Nation’s “International Year of Plant Health.” As such, September’s panel will center on the development and commercial use of cutting edge technologies in making agriculture transformative and sustainable. The conversation will also cover sensors, autonomous data collection, robotics, cloud-based platforms, and bringing the technology from the lab to the field. The moderator will be Chris Reberg-Horton, Ph.D.; Professor, Organic Cropping Systems at NC State University, CALS. One of the panelists will be Ron Heiniger, Ph.D.; Professor of Crop Science; Cropping Systems Specialist at NC State University, CALS. The remaining panelists are being finalized.
