“The Surprising New World of Magnolias”

Presented by Gary Knox, Ph.D., Professor, Environmental Horticulture and Extension Specialist in Nursery Crops. North Florida Research and Education Center. Gary Knox, president of Magnolia Society International, will highlight some of the new species introduced and the precarious conservation status of recent discoveries. Moreover, he will showcase some of the new hybrid magnolias being developed for climates ranging from Zone 3 to Zone 10 with a focus on Zones 7–8!

Free for Friends of the JC Raulston Arboretum members, NC State University students (with ID), and Department of Horticultural Science faculty and staff, all others $5.00.
