FoodCon 2023
February 16 | 8:30 am - 4:30 pm EST
The Business Sustainability Collaborative is hosting the 9th annual MBA FoodCon at Talley Student Union. “Cultivate for Tomorrow” is the theme for this year’s conference, focusing on the future of food. By bringing together a diverse group of over 250 students, community members, business leaders and industry experts annually, FoodCon aims to increase the awareness and understanding of the sustainable food industry.
Beginning in 2014 at UNC-Chapel Hill, FoodCon has rotated annually between UNC’s Kenan-Flagler, Duke’s Fuqua, and NC State’s Jenkins MBA programs in the years since. This year’s edition will be the third time NC State has hosted the conference and we are excited to continue the FoodCon tradition while also highlighting NC State’s unique perspective and expertise.
The planning committee is currently seeking keynote speakers and panelists that are passionate about the food and agriculture business. We would like to have your Food/Ag organization participate on one of our panels on topics such as emerging food technology, Cellular agriculture, navigating food allergies, entrepreneurship in AgTech, the culture of food, avoiding greenwashing in marketing, and how supply chain decisions are made sustainably.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available! By agreeing to partner with NC State’s Business Sustainability Collaborative to support this year’s FoodCon, your organization will have the opportunity to be featured prominently through personal recognition, web presence, and exhibit space during the course of FoodCon.
If you are interested in joining the planning committee, becoming a panelist, becoming a sponsor, and/or want more information please contact Sarah Henderson sbhender@ncsu.edu. Thank you on behalf of the FoodCon 2023 planning committee.
