North Carolina’s solar industry is the third fastest growing in the country so whether you’re a seasoned sheep producer or exploring ways to diversify your farm there are growing opportunities to partner with solar companies for forage management on solar farms.

NC Choices, in partnership with Amazing Grazing and the American Solar Grazing Association, will be hosting two virtual events in June to explore the exciting new frontier of grazing opportunities. This is the first event.

Wednesday, June 16 from 7-9 p.m.:
Farming Solar Farms: Exploring Solar Grazing with Sheep

As NC continues to lead in solar energy development, farmers are exploring opportunities to access these sites for grazing. This session will help you develop an understanding of the basics of solar grazing with sheep.
