Conversations that Matter
April 2, 2019 | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT
Conversations that Matter is a CALS Diversity and Inclusion program initiated to provide the CALS and the NCSU communities with a series of bi-monthly conversations designed to cultivate an environment of learning that enhances diversity awareness and builds cultural competencies for faculty, staff and students in CALS as well as university-wide. These shared lunches are meant to provide a safe space for the college community to come together to explore different dimensions of diversity and gain skills we can all use in the workplace and classroom in order to foster a more inclusive welcoming environment. Each of these interactive sessions will highlight a different area of diversity using speakers, panel sessions, video clips, and other methods. This will be followed by engaging discussions whereby participants will be encouraged to ask questions, share examples, and provide insights related to the topic.
