Research Interests
I’m interested in understanding the behaviors that can make effective pest management difficult. I take a multi-level approach, investigating issues at many focal levels, from microscopic to soico-ecological systems. For my dissertation, I’m using the agricultural pest Drosophila suzukii as a case study to tackle larger issues like understanding how people’s perceptions, knowledge and concerns regarding gene editing tools used in pest management affect consumer acceptance and grower adoption.
