Research Interests

The goal of my project is to analyze the individual or synergistic effect of different Pythium species in the development of Pythium root rot in creeping bentgrass putting greens. I am also creating a pathogenicity assay with the species collected in order to observe the pathogenicity of different Pythium isolates in vitro with “cone-tainers” in a growing chamber. The goal of my field experiment is to determine the most efficacious time to initiate fungicide applications for the preventative management of Pythium root rot.
