On November 17, four entomology and plant pathology M.S. students presented at the annual symposium in the James B. Hunt Jr. Library.  Below are the titles of the students’ presentations:

Carl VanGessel:
“Identifying QTL Conferring Adult Plant Resistance to Ug99 Race Group in a Double Haploid Population”

Nicholas Noel:
“Characterizing Colletotrichum orbiculare, the causal agent of cucurbit anthracnose, in North Carolina for fungicide efficacy and host susceptibility”

Wendell Hutchens:
“Effect of Post-Application Irrigation and the Usage of Soil Surfactants on Fungicide Movement and Efficacy”

Kendall Johnson:
“Evaluation of fungicide efficacy and application timing for management of Glomerella leaf spot and fruit rot in North Carolina”
