The university will celebrate the class of 2020 with our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/virtual.commencement.ncsu.edu\/\">first-ever virtual commencement ceremony<\/a>. <\/strong>This special event will stream on\u00a0<strong>Friday, December 4, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. EST<\/strong>\u00a0to honor the graduates of spring, summer, and fall 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Crop and Soil Sciences\u2019 Department Head Jeff Mullahey underscored the university\u2019s desire for graduate recognition.\u00a0 \u00a0\u201cWe don&#8217;t want to miss the chance to celebrate <span class=\"gmail_default\">our students&#8217; milestone achievement- even virtually<\/span>. Earning a degree is a long journey. While other departments live-streamed graduation events, we were concerned about the limited broadband access in the local communities of our students and their families. Graduation is to be a celebration, not a frustration, so we&#8217;re continuing with a solution that keeps rural access in mind. It&#8217;s an evolving celebration we are renewing each semester.
