{"id":1389,"date":"2017-02-02T03:07:30","date_gmt":"2017-02-02T03:07:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cals.ncsu.edu\/crop-and-soil-dev-site\/?page_id=1389"},"modified":"2025-02-18T10:05:52","modified_gmt":"2025-02-18T15:05:52","slug":"nutrient-management","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/cals.ncsu.edu\/crop-and-soil-sciences\/research\/research-extension-programs\/nutrient-management\/","title":{"rendered":"Nutrient Management"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, our nutrient management program involves:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Development of efficient and environmentally sound fertilization programs for wine grapes, field crops, and biofuels.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Determination of nitrogen availability coefficients from organic sources.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understanding of the chemistry and management of organic cropping systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Development and maintenance of nutrient decision support systems that both function at the watershed-scale and are applicable to field-scale soil fertility issues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Site-specific soil fertility and productivity management, with an emphasis on remote sensing and related geospatial technologies.
