The Last Butterflies – an evening with the author, Dr. Nick Haddad
- This event has passed.
October 15, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Event Navigation

Join Dr. Nick Haddad for a discussion on conservation in a changing world and readings from his new book, The Last Butterflies: A Scientist’s Quest to Save a Rare and Vanishing Creature. Haddad shows that through the efforts to protect and restore butterfly populations, we can learn how to successfully confront conservation issues for all animals and plants. With deliberate conservation, rare butterflies can coexist with people, inhabit urban fringes, and–in the case of the St. Francis’ Satyr–even reside on bomb ranges and military land.
Copies of The Last Butterflies will be available for purchase and Dr. Haddad will be available to sign copies afterwards.
