Fermentology is proud to present, “Pickling” with Vivian Howard! During this livestream, Vivian will tell the story of her wild ride from a small North Carolina city (Kinston) to New York and back, a story that is far from over and features a wildly successful television show, a growing number of restaurants and a starring role in the transformation of Kinston. Howard will discuss pickles and their role in food storage in the southeastern United States. She’ll then share a recipe featuring both old and new end of season vegetables.
This talk is hosted in collaboration with Quail Ridge Books and the Museum of Life & Science.
