Murdock Distinguished<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Professor and Professor of Regenerative Medicine at North Carolina State University. In addition, he is an International Scholar at Kyung Hee University, Seoul, South Korea. He obtained his BS (Physiology) with Laude, his M.S. in Physiopathology and his Ph.D. in Cellular Physiology and Neuroimmuno-Physiology from the University of Siena, Italy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">His research has been focused in understanding the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">cellular and molecular redox mechanisms that define the tissues physio-pathological responses to endogenous and exogenous factors (Exposome)\u00a0\u00a0with special focus on target tissues such as skin and respiratory tract.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">He is the author of over 300 peer reviewed international manuscripts, 20 book chapters, and 4 books. He has been a member of the Society of Free Radical Research -Europe (SFRR-Europe) Council from 2017 to 2021. From 2023 he is the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">SFRR-Europe President Elect<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. He has won several awards, among them the Entelligence Award from Actelion, the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Exposome<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Award, the University of Ferrara\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Bronze Medal<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0(2020 from the Rector of Ferrara, Prof. Zauli). In 2018 he was awarded with the \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Doctorate Honoris Causa<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201d in Biochemistry and Pharmacy from the University of Buenos Aires.\u00a0\u00a0In 2019 he was the recipient of the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Clinical Research award<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0from the SFRR-E and in 2021, he was awarded in Rome, as \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Paladin of Health<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201d from the Italian Ministry of Public Health and Education. In 2022, he was nominated and awarded with the title of \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Faculty Scholar<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201d at North Carolina State University, a title that recognizes and rewards emerging academic leaders who demonstrate significant achievement. From 2022 he is a <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">David H.
