We strive to help parents support their son’s or daughter’s college experience. We firmly believe that parent involvement plays a key role in student success. Read on to find out about resources available to parents through the Ag Institute.
Get involved with your son’s or daughter’s education through the Parent Network, our parent support program.
As members of the network, parents are aware of important activities and events such as academic advising schedules, upcoming bills, and grade release dates. The AGI Parent Liaison, Frances Stroup, offers guidance to parents on how they can support their son or daughter while at AGI.
Parents with FERPA rights have access to academic records and can work with the parent liaison to contact instructors about their student’s performance and in what areas they can help their student improve.
For more information on how to join the Parent’s Network, contact Ms. Frances Stroup: email@example.com.
Tuition, Fees and Financial Aid
Agricultural Institute students pay the same tuition and fees as undergraduate students at NC State. Find semester tuition and fees on the Cashier’s Office website.
Incoming freshman and continuing students are eligible to apply for scholarships through the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS). Scholarships through CALS are awarded on an annual basis. Submit the online CALS Scholarship application as soon as possible for consideration.
If you are interested in receiving financial aid, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Applications are due as soon as possible after January 1.
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) gives parents and guardians access to their child’s academic records and personal information, including grades, campus address, financial information, etc.
If parents want access to their student’s information, the student must login to MyPackPortal and under “For Students,” select “Privacy Settings.” They can select the information to be made available. For more information on FERPA visit the NC State Policies, Regulations, and Rules (PRR) website.
