Shuyang Wang is a PhD candidate in Economics at NC State University. Her research interests are industrial organization and agricultural economics. She focuses on principal-agent problems in agricultural contracts. Currently, she is working on modeling the interactions between principal and agent as a dynamic problem and estimating the model by conditional choice probability estimators. The goal is to test whether principals discriminate among agents by strategically distributing production inputs of varying quality, after observing agents’ performances in the sequence of short-term contracts.
