Heidi Schweizer holds a Ph.D. in agricultural and resource economics from the University of California, Davis and an M.S. degree in applied economics from Montana State University.  Her commodities markets research focuses on production, supply chain management, and transportation. Current projects include a programming analysis of how the 2016 Panama Canal Expansion affects U.S. domestic soybean flows and an empirical analysis of how federal energy policy has influenced grain transportation demand.
