Dylan Bouchard is a second-year PhD student in economics at NC State. Before starting at NC State, Dylan received a B.S and an M.A in economics from the University of Maine. He currently works with Dr. Barry Goodwin conducting research with a focus in econometrics and agricultural economics. Current research topics include crop insurance demand, spatial price transmission, and vertical price transmission. The crop insurance work investigates potential changes in moral hazard and adverse selection resulting from the introduction of the revenue protection product in Federal Crop Insurance. The price transmission work examines price-fixing allegations in the US poultry industry and considers possible evidence of such in the available price data.
