Rejesus Presents on Crop Insurance Coverage for Industrial Hemp in 2020

Professor and Extension Specialist Rod Rejesus recently traveled to Person county to talk about the Whole-Farm Revenue Protection (WFRP) crop insurance coverage for industrial hemp. This coverage will be available to NC farmers in crop year 2020. The coverage is will be part of the WFRP “whole-farm” product that insures revenues for all commodities produced on the farm (not just hemp). He advised industrial hemp farmers to talk to their crop insurance agents as soon as possible if they want WFRP coverage next year.
