Grainger Thanks Board of Directors for Georgia Fruit & Vegetable Growers Association

Michelle Grainger, managing director of the Executive Farm Management Program (EFM), thanked the Board for the Georgia Fruit & Vegetables Growers Association (GFVGA) on January 10th for their support leading up to EFM’s kickoff on January 13th, 2019 in Savannah, GA.

The GFVGA organizes the annual Southeast Regional Fruit and Vegetable Conference, and Michelle was invited to update the board during the conference on the status of the program and thank them for their partnership between the conference and program. The GFVGA was instrumental in marketing the program to its association members.

This effort was crucial because the Executive Farm Management Program expanded throughout the Southeast this year. The EFM program was created in 2017 and offered only to NC tobacco and sweet potatoe farms. In 2018 and 2019, EFM grew to include produce growers from South Carolina and Georgia.
