The largest-ever student induction into the esteemed Delta Tau Alpha (DTA) honor society took place on Sept. 23, 2025, marking a milestone for the organization. The society’s advisor, Assistant Teaching Professor Jonathan Phillips, led the induction of 40 Agricultural Institute (AGI) students.
The induction’s keynote address was delivered by Morgan Nunnery, 2022 AGI graduate and former DTA vice president. Nunnery completed an associate degree in agricultural business management before going on to earn a bachelor’s degree in the same major. Her advice to students was to make connections, take risks, seek out mentors, work hard and know when it’s time to make a change.
Even if a course doesn’t seem relevant, give it your all,” Nunnery said. “You never know when it will matter.” She concluded by telling students, “Tonight isn’t just about what you’ve already achieved, but about the doors opening in front of you.”

DTA’s next meeting will take place Oct. 7, when they will welcome Amanda Hadden, AGI and Georgia Tech alumna. She currently serves as the Public Relations Coordinator and Liaison for North Carolina Farm Bureau.
Congratulations to the newly inducted DTA members!
