The Principles of Salesmanship Class had the unique opportunity to visit Fastenal in Raleigh, NC. Fastenal is the largest fastener distributor in North America which focuses on providing OEM, MRO, construction, industrial, and safety products. During the visit, the students learned about Fastenal’s sales process, careers and their use of technology.
Throughout the course students learned the fundamentals of professional selling and the sales process through lectures and most importantly role plays. Fastenal was extremely helpful in playing the role of buyer during the role play simulations. The partnership with Fastenal allowed students to strengthen their applied, real-world skills which they will need after graduation.
