Ag Commissioner Steve Troxler Addresses ABM Students

On November 19, students in the Agricultural Business Management (ABM) program had the unique opportunity to engage with North Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture Steve Troxler during the latest “ARE Talks” event. Sponsored by the Office of Student Mentoring, the event was held at the N.C. Plant Sciences Initiative building.

Troxler discussed pressing challenges and opportunities in North Carolina agriculture today. Among the topics was the ongoing recovery in Western North Carolina following the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene. Troxler emphasized the resilience of the state’s agricultural community and outlined policy efforts to support affected farmers and rebuild critical infrastructure.
