She originates from the central coast of California and was involved in both 4-H and FFA. She attended California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where she received her Bachelor\u2019s in Agriculture Science, Poultry Science Minor, Agriculture Teaching credential, and Master of Agricultural Education. She worked for three years at Ann Sobrato High School in Morgan Hill, CA, teaching Food Science, Introduction to Agriculture Mechanics, and dual-enrolled Agriculture Welding.<\/p>\n<p>She always thought she would pursue an online Ed.D. in the future, but when her husband was presented the opportunity to begin his Ph.D. in Food Science here at NC\u00a0State, they decided to take the leap of faith and move across the country to pursue their degrees at the same time. Her goal after the program is to become a teacher educator.
