Bio

Dr. JC Johnson is the National Director, Project Youth Extension Service (YES!), NC State University. Project YES! is a DoD-funded youth development program focused on working with youth of military families engaged in the deployment process. JC served 25-years in the United States Air Force and retired as a Command Chief Master Sergeant. During this time, Dr. Johnson served in a variety of educational leadership positions in the Professional Military Education career field. He also served on the Executive Communications team supporting the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Defense. Dr. Johnson earned a BS in Technical Management from the University of Maryland, an MBA degree from Our Lady of the Lake University, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Management from Capella University. He also holds a Master Certificate in Human Resource Development from Villanova University. He’s a staunch advocate of lifelong learning and loves reading and motorcycles. Dr. Johnson also supports the CYFAR 4-H Military Partnership Professional Development and Technical Assistance Program and the Navy Child & Youth Program Supplemental Child Care and Recreational Program Staff programs.
