Corinne serves as a Diabetes Prevention Program Coordinator with Eat Smart, Move More, Prevent Diabetes, a collaborative effort of NC State University and the NC Division of Public Health. She primarily works with NC Prevents Diabetes, where she manages the funding for 26 DPP providers across North Carolina and provides technical assistance to these sites.
An NC native, Corinne has worked with myriad non-profits. Most recently, she was the Program Associate at the Weissberg Foundation in Washington, DC, a social-justice oriented family foundation. There, she provided a wide variety of programmatic and grantmaking support, including for the Reframing Washington program area, which focused on grassroots community organizing, civic engagement, and advocacy centered on racial justice.
Corinne graduated with Honors and Distinction from UNC-Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and English. She’s since completed a graduate certificate in Global Health Programs at the Gillings School at UNC. Corinne is on the board of Hope Her Way, a Durham nonprofit that helps low-income single parents gain access to and persist through post-secondary education. She is also a grants committee member of the Beehive Collective, a giving circle that awards grants to nonprofits in Raleigh. Other things she loves include food, family, friends, traveling, other people’s dogs, vegetarian cooking ideas, ceramics, and podcasts.
