Bio

Candice Christian is an Area Specialized Agent in Consumer & Retail Food Safety at North Carolina State University. She provides technical support and trains North Carolina Family and Consumer Sciences Extension Agents in areas such as consumer food safety and home food preservation. Candice plans, develops and implements Safe Plates Home and Community programming as well as contributing to Safe Plates at Home and Community programming. Candice is a content developer and the social media manager for the Safe Plates Food Safety Information Center, a practical approach to sharing science-based food safety information on social media platforms. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, hockey games, reading, and long distance running.
