Bio
Alyssa Anderson coordinates all facets of social marketing and assists with the evaluation efforts focused on the social-ecological model, with a focus on social marketing and policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) change strategies and interventions for Steps to Health. Alyssa received both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics through Kent State University. While taking graduate classes, she also completed her dietetic internship through Kent State University. She completed her PhD at NC State University in the program for Educational Leadership, Policy, and Human Development with a specialization in Adult, Workforce, and Continuing Professional Education. Prior to this position, Alyssa was a Family and Consumer Sciences Agent with N.C. Cooperative Extension for seven years. Through this position, she gained experience in planning, marketing, implementing, evaluating, and building a comprehensive nutrition program at the county level. Her interests outside of food and nutrition include running, hiking, traveling, and patio gardening.
