Training the Pros
With his degree in hand, Christian Gray owns and operates D.I.V.E.R.S.E. (Dedicated Individuals who Value Education, Relationships, Success, and Effort) LLC, a nonprofit that uses basketball in developing leadership skills and ethical decision-making among minority youth. He has helped children, teenagers, and NBA players hone their skills on and off the court. Gray is also featured in the Winter 2017 issue of CALS Magazine.

Making an Impact Through Coaching
Bria Sledge earned a graduate certificate in family life education and coaching in June 2016. She works as an after-school coordinator at Ravenscroft School in Raleigh, N.C. From playground safety to the dangers of radon, Bria is dedicated to helping families and communities understand the issues that could affect their welfare.

Learning to Teach, Teaching to Learn
Joy Morgan earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in Agricultural Education at NC State. She returned to her home county and taught both middle and high school agricultural education before returning to pursue her doctorate degree. Joy is now an assistant professor at NC State and shares her passion for agriculture by teaching the next generation of agricultural educators.

Stephanie Jones is an independent parenting education and family life consultant at her own business, Just Families, which provides parent education and support services to parents, families and organizations. “The greatest impact that CALS has had on my life and career is related to the relationships that I formed with CALS professors, colleagues and students,” Jones said.
