Administration for the Undergraduate Teaching Program which involves coordinating all academic programs including advising, faculty teaching assignments, student recruitment and retention, curriculum maintenance and development, etc. Responsibilities also include teaching and advising.
Dr. Kraus specializes in ornamentals research and teaches Nursery Management and Production (HS 411 and HS 051), Plant Nutrition (HS 451) and Principles of Horticulture (HS 201).
Research interests include production and management of nursery crops, especially improving irrigation and fertilizer efficiency in container-grown ornamental plant production, water stress, utilization of composts in container-grown ornamental plant production, and nutrition of woody and herbaceous perennial ornamental plants.
