Sarah Cash, a Genetics PhD student in Fred Gould's lab, will receive the CALS Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award. She is being recognized for teaching in GN 311P, the recitation and problem session that accompanies GN 311, Principles of Genetics. Over the last three years, Sarah taught two sections in Fall 2010 (54 students total), two sections in Spring 2011 (41 students total), three sections in Fall 2011 (63 students total), and three sections in Spring 2012 (70 students total). Sarah, who also won a Department of Genetics teaching award in 2012, was presented with a plaque and check for $1000 at the Gamma Sigma Delta Banquet on April 25, 2012.
