The Department of Genetics consists of a highly interactive group of scientists with foci in quantitative, developmental and computational genetics. The department also administers outstanding undergraduate and graduate training programs in genetics, partly supported by an NIH training grant on 'The Genetic Architecture of Quantitative Traits'.

The Genetics Graduate Student Association will present their 37th Annual Genetics Graduate Research Symposium. This years event will feature presentations by 17 Genetics graduate students under the direction of nine Genetics faculty and associate faculty. The program for this event can be viewed here.
