North Carolina State University - Department Of Genetics

The Department of Genetics consists of a vigorous and highly interactive group of scientists with a focus in quantitative, developmental and computational genetics. The department also administers outstanding undergraduate and graduate training programs in genetics, partly supported by an NIH training grant on 'The Genetic Architecture of Quantitative Traits'.

Genetics researchers have secured over $2.6 million of the $23 million in Federal stimulus funding awarded to NCSU through October 2009, the largest amount of any department at NCSU.
