Angela Sierras, an incoming PhD student in the Schal lab, has been selected for a 2012-2013 Initiative for Maximizing Student Diversity (IMSD) Graduate Assistantship Award. This is a 2-year full assistantship in biomedical and behavioral research that includes a stipend, tuition, fees and health insurance. IMSD Scholars also attend professional development seminars and attend and present at conferences at state, local and national conferences. Angela also was awarded a Graduate School Supplemental Recruiting Fellowships. Angela's research will focus on bed bugs.
