Undergraduate field and laboratory research assistants
The Apiculture program at NCSU is always looking for dedicated, hard-working undergraduate students who wish to participate in laboratory and field research projects. Field research involves numerous beekeeping projects performed at the Lake Wheeler Honey Bee Research Facility and is typically conducted during the spring and summer semesters. Lab research involves DNA extraction and PCR analyses of honey bee colonies and is conducted year-round. For further information, please contact the program for details (515-1660 or 513-7702, or email David Tarpy).
