Graduate Program Announcements
- At their meeting today, the Animal Science Graduate Student Association elected officers for the 2008-2009 Academic Year. The officers are as follows:
Justin Fix - President

Emily Weston - UGSA Representative
YiJian Huang - UGSA Alternate Representative
Scottt Fry - Graduate Education Committee Representative
- Congratulations to Kara Roski Stewart! Kara has been selected to receive the 2008 NACTA Graduate Student Teaching award. At the 54th Annual NACTA/SERD Conference, which will be held at Utah State University, Logan, Utah on June 10-13, 2008, Kara will be presented a plaque.
- Congratulations to Dr. Jack Odle! Dr. Odle has been chosen as the recipient of the Outstanding Graduate Instructor Award for the 2007-2008 academic year. Being named as the recipient of this award is a testimonial to the many contribuitons he has made in education of our students, particularly at the graduate level, and to the academic programs in our college.
- The Animal Science Graduate Student Association had its 19th Annual Invited Speaker Event on Thursday, March 27, 2008. Dr. George C. Fahey, Professor of Animal and Nutrutional Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana - Champaign, presented a seminar entitled "Companion Animal Nutrition - An Industry Ovreview and Research Update."
